Wilfrid Laurier Ringette
Play it. Live it. Love it.
Wilfrid Laurier Ringette offers female athletes pursuing their post-secondary education the opportunity to play ringette at a competitive level. We study hard and play harder by shaping our players into not only better athletes, but additionally better students.
About the Club
Ringette is a continually growing support in Canada, with over 30,000 girls registered annually. The sport itself strives on play-making and skating skills. The fast tempo games calls for quick decision making, teamwork, and optimal use of time. Ringette celebrated its 50 year anniversary in 2013 and Canadian University Ringette has been active for over 10 years now.
Currently there are two dozen+ Canadian colleges and universities participating in the Canadian University & College Ringette Association (CUCRA). This year at Wilfrid Laurier University we are competing in our pilot season. Our main goal is to compete for a medal at the University Challenge Cup taking place in Guelph from December 28th-31st. Laurier Ringette allows athletes to continue playing the game they love, while pursuing an education.
